24/08/2024 – Honeyfest 2024

Three days of great bands playing a diverse selection of music, lots of dancing, great entertainment from the circus and Mad Pete the kid’s entertainer, plus some great stalls selling gifts, crafts and merchandise. This little festival is always a firm favourite on the Barge calendar!

17&18/08/2024 – The Floating Fayre & The Barge Inn Craft & Gift Market

The floating fair and the Barge market joined forces to produce a stunning weekend of music, crafts, kid’s entertainment, live demonstrations and much more. The sun shone and everyone had a great time. The pub was packed too. It was the first time we had done this together and certainly won’t be the last. Fabulous feedback from everyone so it will become an annual event.

09/12/2023 – FATHER CHRISTMAS ARRIVED

Always a firm favourite – a visit from the man himself! After the little ones enjoyed Mad Petes Magic Show, Father Christmas came with his elves, handing out presents to the children and promising them that he would be at their houses on christmas eve leaving gifts…if they’ve been good of course!

09/12/2023 – THE CHRISTMAS MARKET

An absolutely wonderful market in our barn. It was busy all day with customers looking for handcrafted christmas presents. And they had so much to choose from – glass, jewellery, crochet, art, cakes & jams, body products, vintage clothing, crafts for the kids, boho goods…I could go on. And on! There was a wonderful atmosphere, happy traders and happy customers.

07/12/2023 – WREATH MAKING

It is that time of year again! We all came together in front of a roaring log fire, cosy indoors, as the weather was cold, wet and windy. Lol showed us how to make beautiful Christmas wreaths. Ribbons, poinsettia flowers, dried oranges, holly, ivy and spruce. We had a wonderful time and everyone was delighted with their creations.

25th To 28th August – HONEYFEST 2023

A wonderful festival was enjoyed by all. All kinds of music, stalls, circus performances, kid stuff, food and drink. The weather was kind to us and the atmosphere was amazing. We hope to see you next year, come and camp, or stay in a bell tent, or grab one of the rooms in the pub!

22/04/2023 – The Barn Dance

We had our first ever barn dance, entertained by The Hillbillies from Oxford. We pulled on our cowboy hats and in our best fancy dress we danced, yeehaaard and dosey-doed all night to some great Country & Western music. The band were brilliant, with a caller to give us the moves which most of us were useless at which made it even more fun. So much laughter. We have another one planned!

22/12/2022 – Carol Singing Around The Piano

A rousing festive evening was had by all. We had traditional carols and Christmas pop songs, Andy played the piano and we all sang along and danced around the pub. It’s a shame it’s all over for another year!

19/12/2022 – Making Christmas Wreaths

Ribbon, dried limes and oranges, holly, pine cones, poinsettia and more, made up our wreaths this evening. We had a lovely time making them and enjoyed a handmade mince pie too! My wreath looks fabulously festive hanging on my door.
